It's done, the decision's made... as long as the house sells anyway...
The blog entries have definitely been slow over the last few months and really just about the kids and the reason really for it is that we haven't had much to talk about other than making this darn decision! And it's not something I could blog about until the decision was final and P&G knew! Anyway, the decision is finally made and we are moving back to Freddy Beach. We look forward to being closer to family so that our parents will have their grandkids in their lives and our kids have their grandparents in theirs. We are also looking forward to what will hopefully be a more balanced work-life! Lots of excitement for sure!
Court would be proud: we have a red sign on our lawn! It's not a liberal party sign with the local candidate though, it's the Royal Lepage "for sale" sign... But it is red. The sign went up on Thursday, the MLS tour (about 2-dozen agents in town go on a new listing that chooses to do this) was in the same day and we were on the internet Friday. Though some of the pictures and definitely the order of the pictures will change, it's basically going to stay as is.
It's been a lot of work to get here - deciding what we were doing was a constant battle for months and we went back and forth more times than I want to recall. We've also been decluttering and cleaning since I got back from NB and have finished the big to-do list that we've had going for months. There are still a few things that we're "friggin' around" with, but the bulk of the work is done. I do love my house when it's in this condition... but I imagine it will be a bit of work to keep it like this through all the house visits. Hopefully it'll sell really quickly!
Speaking of which, Trevor plans to start work on October 6th and the kids and I will be back here on our own until the house sells. Like I said, hopefully it'll sell really quickly! Once we sell, we'll figure out what we'll do down there - buy or build, now or in the spring, etc. More to come for sure!!
