Deux-munutes: part deux

I wish the kids were smart enough to sleep so that we would have a good day... as Alyssa suggested... but I suppose they're too young to really know. Last night was not a good night at all... Nicholas was up just about every 2 hours, despite getting his nightly dose of Tylenol for those pesky teeth. I swear 4 of them will be coming out all at once! At least they better!! :)

I'm thinking that his lack of sleeping is also affecting Christine's sleep as we have not been having a good day either. She got up on the wrong side of the bed (there's only one side she can get down from, but nonetheless...) - whining and crying at the littlest things. Aaaahhh... I'm definitely enjoying this little bit of time with both of them in bed this afternoon! I hope they nap for a really long time!

One thing I need to figure out and I need to figure it out quick: how to get Christine out of the house without a fight. It seems like when we don't really have to hurry to get out or there's no reason to leave by a certain time (eg: we just decide to go to the park), she's super quick - we're out in 5 minutes. When we have to leave for something - going to the Y for swimming classes or leaving for a showing or whatever - it takes FOREVER! I give her plenty of warnings that time is coming up, I leave plenty of time for her to be able to do things herself, etc. but she always picks those times to do exactly the opposite to what I ask her to. For example, if I tell her to put her boots on, she'll likely take her socks off. Anyway, if anyone has any great tips, I'd love to get them. I'm running out of patience, especially being so sleep deprived....

I will apologize in advance to those I'm supposed to call tonight - I'll likely call, but won't have much energy to talk and will be looking forward to some quiet, so I won't be on the phone for long. Also, if you want to call, please just e-mail me and tell me to call when I'm done with the kids. The last thing I need is someone calling here at 7:45 when I'm just finishing with one of the kids as it will only make things worse and I'll have to start over... From now on, I think I'll be like Kev: my preferred method of communication is e-mail unless the call is coming from me! I hope no one will be offended by this!

Aaaahhh... quiet...

Wish me luck on getting the two kids and the cat out of the house shortly after 4 for tonight's showing. I hope I don't have another fight with my almost 3-year-old...

ahhh, the memories!! the fun times! :)
Unfortunatly, I can't say that it will go away anytime soon, but when they grow out of it, life is better!
Maya was pretty hell-ish, for lack of a better word for most of last year, I guess 2 years ago now. Natasha has begun...

Try walking out and leaving here there..see how upset she gets then. Seems to work for Maya, but Natasha is a whole other story...

Good luck!!
