I went on a date today!

It was perfect. We went for a nice drive, got caught up, talked, sang, danced, had lunch, went for a walk and another scenic drive. No... Trev's not in town...

My date was with my son. We had such a nice day. He slept most of the way to Kingston, then we played (talked, sang, danced) while getting the oil change and undercoat inspection at the Honda dealership. After that, we went to Toys R Us and then we were both famished, so we went to Cora's for lunch - Nicholas is now a big fan! We then took a stroll through the mall to pick up a couple of things for a friend, then we got back in the car and drove back. I really wanted a Starbucks and despite the fact that he'd already fallen asleep before getting to Chapters, I still went in and picked it up. Turns out all that excitement wore him out. He slept on my shoulder as I picked up my latte and got him back in the car.

It was a great way to spend a beautiful yet chilly Friday. I don't think I'll get to relax much like that for a little while. I really look forward to being able to have a date with my daughter - just the girls. I think she needs it...
