Now that's service!

This morning, I had a dentist's appointment at 10am and unfortunately, had to have a filling. The great service started with them fitting me in right then and there so that I wouldn't have to go back in the next couple of weeks before we leave. Ok, they probably just wanted my money, but they did seem genuinely concerned that I may not make it in to see another dentist very soon so they wanted to look after it and they were able to make it happen.

Unfortunately, the "procedure" wasn't as easy as they had hoped. Dr. Culp hoped to be able to do it without freezing me, but that wasn't going to happen. In the end, he needed to inject 3 syringes for me to freeze properly and not be in pain while he did what he had to do. I really am not a fan of anything related to teeth, so this was not good. Anyway, I finally left a little while later with half my face and mouth frozen. I felt nauseous from all of it, and couldn't really eat much of anything for the afternoon. It took until 4pm before I could feel all of my face and mouth again. Boy was that a long afternoon of drooling! Oh well... I'm still quite sore and can't open my mouth very comfortably, but at least I can feel all of it.

The great service: at 9pm, I got a call from Dr. Culp, the dentist. He was checking in to see how I was. He asked when the freezing went away, how I was feeling, and wishing Trev and I luck and all the best with the move. Wow!

Yeah... but I'm still going to miss our GP more than the Dentist.
